Brian had known Byron for years, as Byron had a stellar career as a defensive tackle at LSU before transitioning into a successful coaching career at Evangel High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. His track record of coaching powerhouse teams in the Shreveport area eventually led him to the role of head coach at Centenary College.

While at Centenary, Byron reached out to Brian to highlight a standout player, Braeden Board, who had made a significant impact in his one year of collegiate football. Despite only playing one season, Braeden’s contributions helped the team achieve a remarkable 9-1 record, and his performance caught the attention of several NFL teams. In addition to his football talents, Braeden was also an accomplished two-sport athlete, equally impressive in both football and basketball.
