PORTLAND, OR – Sports Management Worldwide (SMWW) is excited to announce Daniel Nyegaard as its European Hockey Agency Director. Known for his expertise in analytics and talent evaluation, Daniel will oversee the expansion of SMWW’s hockey agency efforts throughout Europe.

Daniel began his journey with SMWW through its Hockey GM & Scouting and Hockey Analytics courses. With a strong foundation in scouting and data analysis, he quickly made his mark, working with notable organizations including the Herning Blue Fox—a club featured in the documentary The Hockey Miracle in the Middle of Nowhere, which chronicled its production of more NHL players than Chicago and Detroit combined over a nine-year span.

Daniel’s strategic insights earned him a promotion to Sports Manager for Herning Blue Fox, where he played a key role in the team’s success: capturing the Danish Cup, finishing second in the Danish League, and securing runner-up honors at the IIHF Continental Cup. His proven leadership and deep understanding of the game make him a trusted ally to both players and agent advisors.

In his new position, Daniel will lead SMWW’s European operations, supporting the agency’s global reach while mentoring the next generation of hockey professionals. His appointment highlights SMWW’s commitment to opening doors in sports through education, dedication, and global connectivity.
